Allora
Branding, Packaging, Digital Design
Allora want to bring La Dolce Vita to the British public. They make high quality canned vermouth aperitifs with all natural Italian ingredients. They needed a brand that reflected their heritage and also appealed to a larger market. The brand needed to be fun and charming with an Italian aesthetic, without being too traditional or conservative.
They plan to roll out into shops and at festivals in the coming summer and wanted to create a fun, modern, approachable brand with a sophisticated yet vintage touch, so they can begin their marketing campaigns before the summer.
With the brand attributes and target audience in mind, my solution was charming and modern but with an undeniable vintage Italian twist. I came up with a logo, brand identity, guidelines and packaging for the launch of the first 3 flavours. I also created supporting marketing materials.
Brand Design
With the research finished and a solid brand strategy and audience in mind, I created a modern logotype inspired by vintage Italian signage and posters, paired with a pastel colour scheme and a visual language based on the old fruit stickers and boxes. The modern logotype and typography choices paired with the vintage illustrations, colour scheme and visual system brought a modern sophistication that tied together the themes for the brand identity and packaging.
Visual Identity
At the center of the identity was the design of the cans. With a strong visual identity created, I was able to come up with a design system based on the core attributes of the brand. Distinctly Italian but with a modern feel, the can designs were created to be easily replicable with new imagery and colour schemes when new flavours are released.
As part of the extended visual language, I also came up with a set of stickers, to be used in the supporting design materials, including packaging for the cans and printed and digital marketing materials.
