Opus is the most popular coworking service in Sweden and allows users to access the best workspaces around town on one app. They currently have workspaces in Sweden and Finland, but are soon expanding to the rest of Europe.

Opus is built to make remote working easier than ever. The service offers unlimited access to a growing list of workspaces in the city with one no fuss membership. Users can simply log in to the app and choose a workspace that they like.

From creative and unique co­working offices to cosy hotel lobbies, you can choose a different location every day and enjoy member exclusive benefits and free flowing coffee. Opus truly makes the city your office.

Visual Identity

With Opus hailing from Scandinavia, they wanted to created a super clean and modern visual identity that would pay homage to their Nordic heritage. With their plan for rapid European growth, I created a flexible and efficient identity that felt like a market leader straight out of the gate.

Efficient and easy to use, flexible across applications, and able to feature localised content in a globally consistent way, the identity was built around a monotone logotype and colour palette, minimal and spacious aesthetic and a set of supporting brand colours. This would allow the workspaces and service to shine across all platforms, including the app, website and marketing materials.

The logo was designed to look established, simple, elegant and be easily applied seamlessly across any number of applications and platforms. It was created as a logotype that doubles as a location icon that is used throughout marketing materials and supporting design assets.

Visual System

To create functionality and consistency across all design assets, I came up with a responsive, highly functional design system that could create structure in any format, on any platform including all social and marketing channels. The simple grid and structure allows the content and workspaces to shine and reflects the flexibility and usability of the product whilst staying in line with the minimal, Nordic aesthetic of the brand.

 

Website & App Design

At the core of the Opus experience is the app. It is what Opus members will use every day to browse workspaces, check in, save workspaces and communicate with other users. With 50+ locations in 4 different cities, it needed to be incredibly user friendly and simple to use, while remaining clean, minimal and in touch with the Opus brand.

With their expansion in mind, they wanted the app to look and feel like a market leader straight out of the gate. With this in mind, I designed a simple, user friendly experience paired with a modern design that feels like you’ve been using the product for months from the very first time you log in.

The website was created as a supporting device to the app, as well as a way to drive traffic to increase downloads through the app and play store. The simple, mobile friendly design was created to easily explain the service and highlight the amazing workspaces, while staying consistent with the branding.
